Musee National Des Beaux-Arts du Quebec

With an historic location on the Plains of Abraham, this museum of fine arts retraces the history of Quebec and indeed Canadian art in three architecturally impressive buildings each representing its own style and period. La Citadelle de Quebec

This National Historic Site can only be visited as part of an hour long guided tour, but that should not stop you visiting the current home of the Royal 22nd Regiment, the infamous Vandoos, and its impressive museum covering 300 years of military history.

The Battlefields Park

Located on a large area of parkland above the St Lawrence, the main point of interest is the Plains of Abraham, where in 1759 a battle took place that turned the future of Canada from French to English hands. Martello Tower 1 is also an interesting exhibit, depicting a soldier’s life at that time.
